Paua shell (abalone) is one of the most popular shells for jewelry designs, The shimmering colors look like sunlight reflecting off the surface of the ocean. The matching earrings share the same colors as those in the pendant and the natural luster of the shell reflects the colors when turned in any light. All three pieces have been electroformed along the edges in a durable,18kt gold. The natural edge of the pendant shell has ripples that mimic waves on the ocean surface. The accent beads on the earrings match some of the colors in the shell. The earring wires and the 20 inch chain are all gold-filled. The pendant measures 1.5 inches in length.
