Earth Relics is located and handcrafts all pieces in Summerville, South Carolina. Please note that we operate exclusively as an online store and do not have a physical storefront.

Each handcrafted piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation, featuring authentic fossils and natural materials like crystals, shells, and semi-precious stones. Our skilled techniques, ranging from lapidary work to electroforming (also known as 'gold-plating'), compliment the inherent beauty of each material.

Yes! Our jewelry features a diverse range of real materials, including authentic fossils such as shark teeth, ammonites, sand dollars, and dinosaur material, as well as stunning natural materials like sea glass, seashells, crystals, and semi-precious stones.

Electroforming  (also known as “gold-plating”) allows for the creation of intricate and organic designs that are difficult to achieve with traditional jewelry-making methods, resulting in truly unique and one-of-a-kind pieces.It is a unique jewelry-making process that allows metal to form onto a surface using an electrical current.

This is achieved by first applying a special electro-conductive paint to the areas where the metal is to be formed,then submerging the jewelry piece in a liquid plating solution. An electrical current is passed through the solution, allowing the areas coated with conductive paint to start forming metal. This gradually builds up to the desired shape and thickness of the metal. Once the desired shape and thickness are achieved, the piece is further plated with a final layer of durable 18kt gold. To further protect the piece, a durable protective coating is applied for abrasion resistance and durability.

To keep your jewelry looking its best, handle it with care and store it properly in a cool, dry place away from high humidity. Remove your jewelry before bathing, swimming, or exercise.

When needed, clean it gently with a soft cloth. Avoid using any cleaners, polishing compounds or abrasives to preserve the protective coating.


Please note that while we use a substantial layer of gold and a protective finish to enhance the longevity of your jewelry, we cannot guarantee the plating's lifespan due to variation in individual wear.

We strive to fulfill orders promptly. However, to cancel or modify an order, please contact us as soon as possible at email@earthrelics.com. We may be able to modify certain order details, such as shipping address or add/remove items, depending on the stage of order processing. 

For Custom Plating orders, items may be able to be modified as long as the work on the piece has not progressed beyond the point of possible modification. Some modifications may result in additional costs for custom pieces.

Shipping Questions

All orders are processed within 3-5 business days and include insurance, tracking, and delivery confirmation sent to the provided email. You can track your order using the tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation email.

All orders are processed within 1-2 business days of receiving an order.

If your package is damaged, missing or lost, please first check with your local post office or the relevant shipping carrier, providing them with the tracking information. If you are unable to locate your package, please file a claim with the shipping carrier. We recommend filing a claim with the shipping carrier as soon as possible.

If you realize you’ve entered the wrong shipping information before your order ships, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to update the shipping address before your order is processed.

If you realize you’ve entered the wrong shipping information after your order has shipped, please contact us as soon as possible. If the package is returned due to an incorrect or insufficient address, we will attempt to contact you to obtain the correct shipping address. However, you will be responsible for any reshipping fees incurred.

Returns Questions

We offer a 14-day return window. You can initiate a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order. The item must be returned to us within 14 days of initiating the return request.
